Privacy Policy

KGsuperstore is a trading name of KG Group (Aust) Pty Ltd, ABN 92 953 833 116, of Heatherton, Victoria. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and this page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to sell to you and support the sale:

  • your name, email address and phone number;
  • your delivery and billing addresses;
  • your order history and any correspondence with our team;
  • technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, device and pages viewed.

We do not collect or store your card number. Payments are handled by Shopify's payment platform and never pass through our systems — see our Security Policy.

Why we use it

To process and deliver your order, to keep you updated on it, to answer your questions, to meet our legal and tax obligations, and — only if you have asked for it — to send you offers and news.

If you choose not to give us this information, we may not be able to supply the products or service you want.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the parties needed to complete your order:

  • Shopify, which hosts this store and processes payments;
  • Australia Post and Allied Express, to deliver your order and provide tracking;
  • payment providers, for the transaction and for fraud prevention;
  • service providers who work on our behalf, such as email and analytics tools, bound to use it only for that purpose;
  • anyone we are legally required to disclose it to.

Information held overseas

Shopify and some of our service providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By ordering from us you consent to your information being handled this way. We take reasonable steps to use providers that protect it to a standard comparable with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies to keep your cart, remember your preferences and measure how the site is used so we can improve it. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies — if you do, parts of the store such as the cart may stop working.

Marketing, and how to stop it

We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. Unsubscribing does not stop the messages we must send about an order you have placed, such as dispatch and tracking notices.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. If we disagree that a record is inaccurate and you ask us to note your view alongside it, we will take reasonable steps to do so.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to support the sale and to meet our legal obligations, including tax and consumer law record-keeping. That means some information stays with us after an account is closed.

Keeping it secure

Information is held electronically with access limited to staff who need it. Our Security Policy sets out the detail.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page.
